A little weather came our way
This morning I woke up to snow. It's not uncommon to see snow in Mongolia in May and often well into June. That doesn't mean that I'm still not surprised when it happens. It's strange to see green trees confused, cold, and covered with snow. Sadly, the snow fall does not stop the construction that now plagues my ears day and night. These are pics from my window.

Bagsh: the ladies at the deli had heard of the crazy spring weather when I spoke to them today. They always ask how you're doing.
I think they think it's crazy for a foreigner to enjoy living there. But I tell them it was Chicago or Mongolia, so the choice was clear.
Keep rocking.

PS: I only just noticed that the heads on Altan Urag's morin khuur weren't horses, but in fact H.R. Giger's Aliens.
Andrew
It sure is cold. But it's not sleeping in a tee pee with a tsaatan cold.
Altan Urag is pretty cutting edge. Maybe I can order to a heavy metal moriin khuur...
